About Us

Established in 1990, we are a registered charity, run by a committee of current and ex-parents and current and ex-members of staff.  The Pre-School is Ofsted inspected and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. We hope for a lot of parental involvement both on the charity committee and in our day to day sessions.

 

We have at least five regular staff members with up to 30 children each session and welcome parents and volunteers who want to come in and help, teach, learn or play. We hope that you and your children will make new friends and spend many happy hours with us.

We are committed to the principles of Learning through Play and we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage as published by the Department of Education. We use Tapestry (an online learning journal) to keep in touch with parents and families, share examples of what we've been doing and record children's progress. This is updated every day, and when you accept a place with us you'll get a Tapestry log in, so you can look at your child's learning journal at any time.
